The abundance of false teachers is becoming so much more apparent, I don't know if it's the Holy Spirit showing me the wolves in my path, and He did this VERY clearly recently. I thank Him that I was able to see through the charlatan & I left that Church the very next week!
This video was powerful! James 3:1 says "Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment." Until recently I meditated on this verse and wondered exactly what the "stricter judgment" referred to. I believe these false teachers lead many who are lost to reject the Gospel, they are greedy money grabbers who live in luxury, preach prosperity theology and Old Testament tithing..........thereby effectively leading the lost right to hell - and for that they will be severely judged by God.
Many of the false teachers and the heresies mentioned in the video below are often exposed on the site www.pulpit-pimps.org. Check it out, bookmark and and read it often. It will sharpen your skills at spotting a wolf in sheep's clothing.
ALL we have belongs to God. Giving is important, but as 2 Corinthians 9:7 teaches, it needs to be given with the right heart attitude "Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." However, we must be good stewards and not give to greedy and false teachers. That is not . On the subject of false prophets it says, in part:

Deuteronomy 18:21-22: ""You may say in your heart, 'How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?' "When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."
(Rev 16:13)
And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs;
(Rev 19:20)
And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
(Rev 20:10)
And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
