Learning the Language of the Lord

With the aid of the book Zola's Introduction to Hebrew I am enjoying learning the Language of the Kingdom. Book by John Parsons (www.hebrew4christians.com). I learned 2 interesting things today regarding vowel sounds, which do not exist in the original Hebrew.

The book explains that some say the reason the Lord did not provide consonants is so that the reader would be 'supplying the intonation and "exhale" the words that the Lord has so graciously inspired.'

The people of Israel were to be always IN the word of God, they  always read the Holy Scriptures and therefore learned how every word from God was to be read and intoned. So much so that the unpronounceable name of God (יהוה) written by the Hebrew letters (read from right to left) yod, hey, vav, hey (YHWH). It is today unknown, though in modern days we say Yahweh (observant Jews say Adonai); however, it is truly pronounceable since after the diaspora the Hebrews no longer remembered how to say a name which they were never allowed to vocalize.

We are living in prophetic times, let us commit to stay IN the word of God and rejoice (not fear) at the fulfillment of the prophecies being revealed.

Ezekiel 12:25
"For I the LORD will speak, and whatever word I speak will be performed It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it," declares the Lord GOD.'"
